Position Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Operations Manager of Professional Development, the Product Launch Manager is responsible for facilitating all efforts across the organization related to releasing new and updated professional development offerings to the global market. This critical position will work on a variety of releases throughout the year ensuring key stakeholders including development, finance, sales, marketing, delivery and customer experiences teams are working toward agreed-upon milestones resulting in smooth and timely product launches that maximize positive impact in the market and align with annual revenue commitments.



Responsibilities

Product Management

    Align stakeholders around the vision for the product.
  • Plan and design product roadmaps in collaboration with Portfolio Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and Design teams
  • Prioritize product features and communicate the reason behind this to the stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain product descriptions for internal and external use.
  • Create and maintain product catalog for all products managed by the Professional Development team.
  • Develop and manage annual launch plan in accordance with annual Portfolio Strategy and based on stakeholder input, with agreed upon deadlines and milestones for each team.

Communications

  • Promote the product to global sales teams through sales training sessions, webinars, newsletters and other methods.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders responsible for setting up products within Sales Force, marketing and building awareness and selling products to the global cybersecurity profession.
  • Communicate and seek clarification as needed with all launch teams to discuss goals, timelines, deliverables, obstacles and dependencies.
  • Responsible for seeking insight from sales and marketing teams on customer needs, tools, etc.
  • Work with and guide teams through product updates, changes, and iterations being made to already distributed products.

Reporting

  • Collate feedback from sales and customers.
  • Track and report regularly on product success measures.
  • Study and report on outcomes of each launch to determine what worked and areas for improvement.
  • Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.

Processes and Change Management

  • Develop, implement, monitor, and own the process for effectively launching new and updated products related to certification education and continuing professional development according to annual product development and delivery plans.
  • Provide input, solution oriented and innovative thinking to the wider Professional Development Portfolio Strategy.
  • Create and manage product management systems and processes.
  • Implement changes to launch activities based on input from key stakeholders, outcomes and industry best practices.
  • Embrace and lead change, appreciating the growth opportunities which it brings and be able to influence others to the positive aspects of a constantly changing and growing educational product range.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience in Marketing / Business Management
  • Minimum 5 years product management experience.
  • Proven success in working within cross-functional team environments.
  • Experience working within a global professional membership association a plus.
  • Culturally astute and able to interact successfully with colleagues and customers across the world.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office products, Share Point, and project management tools.
