Successful Data Scientists demonstrate competency in leading guided, multifaceted analystic studies against large volumes of data.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate the ability to frame and scale data problems to effectively analyze, visualize and find data solutions.
- Possess the ability to work with and manipulate common data formats, including comma-delimited, text files, and JSON.
- Analyst must be able to transform data and analysis into informative data visualizations and/or interactive dashboards using open source and commercially available visualization and dashboard tools.
- Demonstrate the ability to derive insights and analytic narratives from data and visualizations for effective storytelling and clear communication in response to specific research questions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, solutions oriented environment focused on client deliverables, analysis and reporting.
- Possess the ability to work in teams and independently.
- Develop AI/ML models to enrich data providing further utility to the analysts.
- Conducts complex data assessments to determine operational utility of proposed data sets in answering priority intelligence requirements.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ingest applicable data into AI/ML engines and tools.
- Discovers links and connections in disparate datasets providing context to intelligence analysts.Performance Duties:
- Interpret and analyze data using exploratory mathematic and statistical techniques based on the scientific method
- Experiment against data points, provide information based on experiment results and provide previously undiscovered solutions to command data challenges
- Coordinate with Data Engineers to build Data environments providing data identified by Data Analysts, Data Integrators, Knowledge Managers, and Intel Analysts
- Coordinate research and analytic activities utilizing various data points (unstructured and structured) and employ programming to clean, massage, and organize the data
- Develop and deploy AI/ML models to enrich data holding in support of priority intelligence requirements
- Create advanced analytic models leverage multi-modal datasets to answer complex intelligence questions
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Master's degree or bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, or other related business or quantitative discipline is required.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in the field
- Experience working with Python, R, Natural Language Processing (NLP), AI/ML Ops
- Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems
- Demonstrated experience developing and deploying AI/ML in support of decision making
- Preferred experience with data science methods related to data architecture, data munging, data and feature engineering, and predictive analytics.
- Additional preferred qualifications include working with unstructured text and natural language processing.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written
- This position requires an active security clearance at the TS/SCI level. You must be a US citizen.
DESIRED:
- Master's degree or higher.
- Previous DOD experience.
- Working knowledge and experience with: SQL, noSQL, SQLAlchemy, Flask, Streamlit, Dash, React,Javascript, HTML/CSS, Spark, Application Programming Interfaces, Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD)
