The opportunity

The Silk Road Medical Principal Area Manager is a dynamic and entrepreneurial ambassador responsible for driving the adoption and sales of the TCAR (Transcarotid Artery revascularization) procedure. This role will lead the establishment of TCAR Programs, serve as a trusted clinical partner and TCAR specialist to achieve revenue and procedural targets for the ENROUTE Transcarotid Neuroprotection System, ENROUTE Transcarotid Stent System, and bespoke ancillary products. The Area Manager will practice effective territory management, demonstrate strong organization, administration, and expense management. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Field Clinical, Professional Medical Education, Marketing, and Research and Development, to support the company's goals.

This is a field-based position.

A "Day in the life"

  • Provide quality support to accounts, ensuring procedural success and superior outcomes for the ENROUTE Transcarotid Neuroprotection System and ENROUTE Transcarotid Stent System
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to expand existing business and identify new opportunities
  • Drive safe adoption and superior outcomes of TCAR (Transcarotid Artery revascularization) procedure and bespoke ancillary products
  • Achieve sales revenue and case targets for ENROUTE Transcarotid Neuroprotection System and ENROUTE Transcarotid Stent System
  • Provide technical and clinical support for TCAR procedures to healthcare professionals
  • Educate implanting teams on proper indications for TCAR procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor products, and relevant literature
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for optimal customer support and product improvement
  • Ensure excellent customer service and resolve complaints promptly
  • Maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and handle administrative responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver effective sales presentations and training sessions
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders
  • Stay current with local, national, and international regulations, standards, and guidelines applicable to medical devices and promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or other relevant education
  • 15+ year's sales experience in a hospital environment; selling into minimally invasive cardiovascular market, EVAR/TEVAR, TAVR, peripheral or surgical related products
  • Strong, proven medical device sales/clinical track record with documented growth and achievements

Note: New employees in this role will undergo the TCAR Certification program within the first 120 days of employment to gain the necessary clinical knowledge and become a trusted clinical partner in TCAR adoption.Top of Form

Additional skills you have

  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets, build customer relationships, and effectively close deals.
  • Knowledge of imaging modalities (duplex ultrasound/catheter angiography/CTA, MRA), EKG, procedural hemodynamics, heart rate, blood pressure, knowledge of pharmaceutical/drug regiments, and ancillary procedural solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey product information, articulate value propositions, and build rapport with healthcare professionals
  • Ability to comprehend complex medical device technologies and explain them in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and decision-makers
  • Flexibility to navigate a dynamic sales environment, adapt to changing market conditions, and overcome challenges
  • Understanding of healthcare economics, reimbursement processes, and the financial aspects of sales process

The exact level of the job will be chosen based on the chosen candidate's experience.

Physical Job Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel, stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Occasionally the employee will be required to lift or move at least 20 pounds. The employee will also be required to work in Cath Labs/Angiography suites, Hybrid OR's and/or OR's with radiation exposure, with an understanding of maintenance of the sterile field.
