TDB Communications is seeking a full-time onsite Data Entry Operator II to join our growing team in Columbia, SC. Since 1999, our employees have been entrusted with helping the business of government work better for our customers. We are looking for experienced Data Entry Operators II to review and evaluate workers' compensation proposals based on a set of criteria. To prepare you for this role, TDB provides comprehensive paid training when you start.

Hours of Operations: This is a full-time position, 11:00am- 7:30pm EST (During daylight savings time there may be one hour difference) Monday- Friday

Start Date: 9/18/23.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Base rate of $16.40 p/h (plus $4.41 p/h of H&W)

Duties

  • Enter appropriate data into computer programs, applications, and VA systems.
  • Manages multiple task lists in accordance with directed timelines.
  • Meets call volume, schedule adherence, quality, attendance, Veteran appointments, and other production standards.
  • Initiates and receives phone calls, records preferences, and tracks Veteran questions thoroughly in our Customer's Relationship Management systems and Portal, as well as the VA's HSRM systems.
  • Consistently displays professional and courteous service skills to internal and external customers.
  • Accurately resolves VA and provider inquiries with a focus on first-call resolution.
  • Protects the privacy of health information of patients when using or disclosing Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Takes appropriate measures to comply with HIPAA regulations to protect the privacy of customers' health information.
  • Documents all communications involving Veteran and provider contacts.
  • Uses critical thinking in problem-solving and follows established processes to assure quality program compliance.
  • Consistently meets department productivity and performance metrics including regular and consistent attendance.
  • Participates in cross-training, employee development, and flexible assignments to ensure business needs are met.
  • Manage prioritized tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Consistently meet program productivity and performance metrics.
  • Make outbound calls to update, validate, or acquire the needed information.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have at least 2-4 years of data entry and customer service experience. (May have additional training or education in area of specialization)
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
  • Communicates more complex information, using job experience to anticipate and proactively address related questions.
  • Must be proficient with a computer including Microsoft Office, the Internet, and other systems and applications.
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment is a plus.
  • Experience with medical terms (including the interpretation and use of ICD and CPT codes a plus).
