The George Mason University, Antonin Scalia Law School, seeks a part-time Admissions and Recruitment Assistant to support the Admissions Office. George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School is located in Arlington, VA, just two miles from downtown Washington, D.C. Antonin Scalia Law School is a Top 50 law school. A relatively young law school, Scalia Law offers students an opportunity to pursue a JD, JM, or an LLM.
About the Position:

The Admissions and Recruitment Assistant plays an important role in supporting recruitment and admissions at Scalia Law. This position will perform a variety of tasks. This position is part-time. Scalia Law School's Admissions Office is open from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate would work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to prospective students, applicants, admitted students, and other visitors;
  • Assist in planning and prepping admissions and recruitment events;
  • Enter data in admissions database and Banner;
  • Process payment vouchers and invoices for Associate Dean for Admissions;
  • Assist with social media posts and email communications;
  • Help manage generic email inboxes for the Admissions Office; and
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience;
  • Demonstrated customer service;
  • Detailed oriented and ability to multitask; and
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in higher education including internships, externships, part-time positions, or full-time positions.
