We are actively seeking a Structural Engineer with 6 to 10 years of experience with bridge, transportation, and/or rail structure projects. As the successful new hire, you will possess strong design and communication skills and have the desire to interact with clients if not immediate but in the future. You may be seated in either our: Baton Rouge (preferred), or New Orleans offices. Our bridge team provides a growing suite of bridge services to LADOTD, MDOT, OSARC and other agencies in the area including complex bridge inspections and load ratings, with supporting offices providing concrete bridge design, steel bridge design, bridge widening and replacement, grade separations, seismic retrofit, pump stations, underground structures, and retaining walls. Firm-wide, our bridge practice provides design and inspection services both domestically and internationally. We have worked on some of the most iconic bridges in the USA! Working conditions: The work takes place in both the office and the field which may require occasional extended hours or weekends to meet deadlines. Inclement weather may occur. Physical requirements: Must be able to navigate field to inspect bridges. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment. Perform office work or attend meetings. Light local travel as necessary.
