Purpose and Scope

The Marketing Director will be responsible for all marketing activities in support of Tolmar's new Men's Health Business Unit and the flagship product JatenzoTM. The role will develop and execute marketing strategies with focus on building digital and omnichannel promotions. The Marketing Director will lead and manage partnerships with key industry and advocacy associations to advance company and product business. Lead development of the brand strategy, engage in lifecycle planning, and evaluate portfolio expansion opportunities. Manage assigned internal and external resources that generate product sales. Responsible for annual marketing budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Brand Plan for the lead product in Tolmar's Men's Health Business Unit. This will include:

    • Situational analysis and brand strategy
    • Brand positioning, targeting, messaging and promotions across the various segments and channels
    • CoPay assistance programs
    • HCP/patient education
    • Print collateral
    • Conferences, exhibits and sponsorships


  • Build and execute plans for digital promotions, across multiple platforms and channels.
  • Manage marketing budget and resources.
  • Run market research to support brand objectives.
  • Develop and disseminate information about the assigned product(s) from marketing to field sales. Serve as a key contact for the sales force; proactively seeking input from the sales force (and other relevant departments).
  • Provide commercial input to cross-functional teams for product planning or brand improvements (e.g. new products, line extensions, etc.).
  • Collaborate with sales leadership team on key product and customer growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with medical affairs to build science and data strategies to advance portfolio.
  • Review and analyze marketing results against plans and budgets; recommending adjustments to senior management to help assure brand performance is optimized.
  • Lead agency relationships.
  • Keep abreast of current industry trends and competitor tactics, so that more effective decisions can be made.
  • Manage direct reports (currently 1 Marketing Manager reports to this position)
  • Collaborate with marketing teams of the 2 sister Business Units on company-wide commercial initiatives.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Hands-on experience with omnichannel marketing and digital marketing
  • Knowledge of either: pharmaceutical marketing, healthcare industry or consumer goods from the perspective of non-personal customer acquisition
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Critical thinking skills; strategic assessment of market and portfolio
  • Effective problem-solver and follow-up
  • Strong financial and data analytic skills
  • Creative marketing ability
  • Strong leadership skills; able to effectively communicate with the team regarding expectations

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel



Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field (MBA a plus).
  • Seven or more years of marketing, sales, or pharmaceutical commercial experience.
  • Experience with digital marketing and omnichannel marketing



Working Conditions



  • Office environment; requiring sitting and standing.
  • Travel is required up to 25%.
