Position Title: Lift Lead Operator

Business Unit: Mountain Operations

Position Reports to: Lift Operation Manager, Lift Operations Supervisors

Positions Reporting to this Role: Lift Operators

Location: Crystal Mtn., Washington

Wage Range: Lead Lift Operators are paid $22.00 / hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES-

  • Safely and efficiently perform all duties of a Lift Operator
  • Assist guest of all ages and abilities load and unload chairlifts
  • Enthusiastically interact with guests throughout the day and provide customer service
  • Set up multiple lifts everyday day and must quickly develop a working knowledge of those lifts and work area
  • Lead your team of Lift Operators in assigned tasks and projects
  • Must be able to adhere to all company and departments policies and procedures and set an example for others to follow
  • Assist in training new employees in Daily Operations
  • Ensure all breaks are completed in accordance with Department of Labor policies
  • Responsible for the overall appearance of assigned lift stations and staff, as well as auditing station supplies and lift logs throughout the day
  • Perform Crowd Control

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS-

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Leadership and/or Lift Lead experience required
  • Ski/Snowboard experience required
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to maximize use of time and resources


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS-

  • This position is required to work evenings, early mornings, weekends and holidays while in operation.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 30 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
  • Working outside in various extreme cold weather conditions for long periods of time
