The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Department Chair, the incumbent provides the full range of complex administrative and clerical functions in support of the mission of the Department and the University. The incumbent works closely with the Department Chair, assuring that all administrative requirements are completed in a timely manner and faculty obtain classroom support for effective instruction, and that students are supported. The incumbent assists with financial, programmatic and administrative support for general office operations. The incumbent plans and executes a variety of large scale, complex projects involving coordinating and providing clerical and administrative support functions, at times handling complex and confidential information. Projects involve a wide range of problems requiring use of reason and judgment, interpretation of policies, contact with individuals at all levels of the University and individuals on and off-campus with full accountability for workflow and completion of the work assigned.
