Job Description


Position Summary

Responsible for the lean transformation of the Division as measured by safety, quality, customer service/delivery and cost/productivity and other Parker Lean Systems (PLS) tools.

Reports to the Division Lean manager and supports various leaders including the Business Unit Leaders, Plant Managers and Functional leaders spanning 4 locations (based in Enumclaw, WA and supporting Eugene, OR; Corona, CA and SantaFe Springs, CA) across the Division.

Must be able to travel (driving & flying) up to 75%

Responsibilities

  • Supports safety and ergonomic improvement through 5S, motion kaizen and problem solving

  • Successfully transforms multiple manufacturing value streams by applying the 8-point criteria and the tools of the PLS to achieve significant lead time reduction, productivity improvement, inventory reduction and LISC improvements.

  • Coaches and implements lean materials management systems working with the supply chain and operations teams including PFEP, Pull systems, level scheduling and tugger routes.

  • Expert problem solver, coach, teaches others how to root cause problem solve.

  • Develops and manages site transformation plans to align an entire factory operation to lean principles to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Effectively enables change - including acquisitions, integrations, turnarounds & closures.

  • Understands the business strategy and can translate this into focused areas for transformation.

  • Builds talent, including developing and performance managing individual team members

  • Sets and aligns the organizational vision

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent; STEM discipline preferred. MBA or equivalent preferred.

  • Six Sigma certification beneficial.

  • 5-7 years of demonstrated successful experience of the responsibilities noted
