Job Description and Requirements

Synopsys, Inc. is looking to add a Tax Provision and Compliance Manager to our Corporate Tax Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the global accounting for income taxes and the Federal income tax compliance. This role reports to the Tax Director of Provision and Compliance. It will have regular interaction with accounting, legal, finance and treasury team members. The job location is flexible based on qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review the consolidated quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740. This includes the worldwide effective tax rate, deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances and tax footnote.
  • Prepare quarterly tax provision memoranda.
  • Maintain SOX controls documentation and processes. This includes coordination with outside service providers and external auditors.
  • Manage and review all aspects of U.S. income compliance, including working with outside tax return preparers.
  • Manage quarterly Federal estimates and extension tax calculations and payments.
  • Work with the tax planning team to ensure proper purchase accounting and compliance reporting of M&A transactions.
  • Identify and support the implementation of process improvements.

  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision is a plus.
  • Ability to manage and execute many projects.
  • Experience & Qualifications:
  • J.D. or CPA
  • Masters in Tax preferred.
  • 5 plus years of experience in public accounting and/or multinational corporation.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $111,000.00-$194,000.00. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
