Responsibilities

Draper is seeking an Associate Director of Autonomous Systems to join our Electronic Systems business. As the portfolio leader, you will be responsible for leading our Autonomous systems solutions research, development, and testing throughout the product lifecycle. As a nonprofit, Draper is focused on fielding innovation, often first-of-a-kind solutions, with unique requirements and specialized supply chains. You will lead a team of Program Managers and matrixed engineers to advanced critical technologies and transition new solutions to the hands of users. You will develop business strategy and manage to an integrated business plan while implementing effective product management to enable transition. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in a relevant technical discipline with 10 years' experience or a Bachelor's Degree and at least 15 years' experience managing research and development projects.

- Demonstrates deep knowledge in Advanced Positioning, Navigation, and Timing technologies and products

- Demonstrated ability to interpret customer needs and synthesize solutions to their problems

- Experience delivering products that exceed the expectations of our company and customers.

- 5 years' experience in personnel management

- Demonstrated strong leadership skills (e.g., develops a vision, communicates to achieve alignment, motivates teams, delivers results), enabling him/her to lead tasks of significant complexity

- Demonstrates the ability to define and/or apply common best business practices

- Demonstrates highly developed communication skills, both in written and oral forms; clearly communicates with sponsors, management and peers

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in personnel management of a diverse, geographical separated workforce

- Prior Product Management experience or experience in the transition of technological solutions into a production environment.

Security Requirement:
- Current Secret clearance is required.

- Current in scope Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is preferred.
