Professional Clinical Student Supervisor - Nursing

Summary: Operationalize the curriculum in a clinical environment (real or simulated). Reporting to the Director, Nursing Programs, lead clinical assessment sessions for nursing students. Assess and evaluate student's understanding and demonstration of applied learning in a clinical setting. Determine if demonstrated knowledge meets published course outcomes.

Job Description: Implementing strategies and learning opportunities for nursing students in the clinical setting to (1) facilitate achievement of course learning outcomes (2) assure students function within the policies and standards of the healthcare environment.

* Tracking the learning, competency, and clinical judgment of the nursing student throughout their assigned clinical learning experience and sharing that information with the student and course faculty

* Running a pre and post clinical briefing session for students to facilitate student's learning related to experiences the student's will or have had in the clinical setting.

Requirements: Must be a licensed nurse, with an RN license and a Bachelor's degree for PN program. Must hold a Master of Science degree in Nursing or be engaged in a program with completion within 5 years for RN program. A minimum of 2 years of Clinical teaching experience preferred.
