Role Overview:

The role will be responsible for the general support functions of our experienced team. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, shipment tracing, customer service, documentation handling (preparing, collecting, distributing), & tariff compliance. This position will have contact with customers, agents, vendors, port brokers, customs, FDA, USDA, and other government agencies.

What You'll Be Doing

40% Shipment Tracing: * Update tracking systems daily and process shipment prompts.

30% * Documentation Handling: Responsible for arranging and handling all shipping documents & processing with port brokers, customs, FDA, USDA, and other government agencies with a basic understanding of customs valuation, classification, audit and trade programs.

20% * Keep Customers, Agents, Vendors, Port Brokers, Customs Brokers informed of status changes in a timely manner.

10% * Assist the team with resolving shipment and compliance issues as required. (I.e. missing documentation, delayed shipments, tariff compliance, tracking of US government trade policy to ensure that all benefits under current or potential trade law can be exercised, entry writing of customs along with pre and post entry audits, etc.)

What You Bring to Sirva
* 1-2 years in customer service and transportation industry.
* Excellent Communication skills both oral and written.
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
* FDA and USDA knowledge. * Strong analytic problem-solving abilities.
* Knowledge of automated systems (AMS, ABI, SAP, ACE).
* Microsoft office application usage (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Ability to work successfully in a team environment where work direction will be provided by multiple people (Matrix Environment)

* High School education; Undergraduate degree preferred.
