Job Description


The EMG Business Development Data & Analytics Internship Program is focused on the development of new talent by exposing interns to data analytics using tools such as Power BI, Excel, Microsoft SQL, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Interns will gain a valuable understanding of real-world projects, tasks, challenges, and opportunities that exist within the space of Sales and Marketing for a global industrial manufacturing organization.

In this position, you will help support the tools, processes, and reports that help front-line sales teams sell better, faster, and more efficiently. Typical tasks may include analyzing large data sets, assisting with sales pipeline review meetings, and the automation and integration of different tasks.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the design, development, testing, documentation, and training of new and existing reports and tools for the global sales and marketing team
  • Analyze new and existing datasets
  • Research, document, and optimize business processes
  • User story definition and design

Qualifications

  • Must be actively pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Sophomore with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Completed courses in areas such as data modeling, statistics and forecasting, computer programming, or other relevant courses
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work full-time in person from June 2024 - August 2024
  • Strong computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Ability to work independently (with minimal supervision) and within a team environment
  • Strong innovation and creative thinking; self-motivated
  • Strong technical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience with Power BI preferred
