Teacher DYS (Math/ELA)

Collaborative for Educational Services
52693.00 To 80368.00 (USD) Annually
United States, Massachusetts, Springfield
Feb 25, 2024

We are a progressive and innovative non-profit organization dedicated to providing personalized and engaging education to youth placed in DYS programs across Massachusetts.

Our programs have small student populations of up to 15 students, with an average class size of 5 students. Instruction is provided by a small, but mighty, group of General Education, Special Education, Art, Physical Education, Horticulture, Vocational, Literacy and ELL teachers.

We are especially interested in Massachusetts licensed teachers who have experience with students placed at-risk, however we also welcome candidates seeking to change their careers, or return to teaching again, who are waiver-eligible teachers and willing to obtain a teacher certification.

We believe everyone is a learner, and seek educators who value social justice and equity, compassion, patience, and flexibility.

If you are interested in a career in education and want to make a difference, we would like to talk with you.

We offer:

  • Membership in the Massachusetts Teacher Retirement System (MTRS)

  • Eligibility for Student Loan Forgiveness

  • Small class sizes (approximately 5 or fewer per class)

  • Behavioral staff support in the classroom

  • Robust Professional Development by seasoned professionals

  • Flexibility in the curriculum

  • In-house and subsidized support for Initial licensure and licensure advancement

  • Traditional school calendar with option for summer employment

  • Competitive salaries and exceptional benefits

If you are interested in joining us for this purposeful work, please apply to us.

CES is an equal opportunity employer and is particularly interested in candidates from diverse backgrounds, especially candidates whose backgrounds are well-suited to understanding and addressing the needs of the diverse student populations we serve.
