Job Location: This position will be located at Statewide. This position will be eligible for remote work (when not inspecting facilities within Missouri) once training is complete.
Why you'll love this position:
Typically no weekends. No holidays. No on-call. State retirement. 13 paid holidays. A routine 4 - 10 hr/day work schedule (Mon-Thursday.) Three weeks of vacation in addition to three weeks of sick leave each year. Some flexibility in scheduling.
This is a position for a vacant registered nurse position in the Bureau of Ambulatory Care. In this position, you are a surveyor/inspector (Registered Nurse/RN) within the Section for Health Standards & Licensure with regulatory oversight of primarily ambulatory surgery centers. We are regulators who ensure healthcare providers comply with the rules and provide quality care to Missouri residents.
Once training is completed, you will work remote from your home office when you are not out completing surveys/inspections across Missouri. You will learn the Federal Regulations and State laws and use these regulations when going onsite to conduct surveys/inspections/investigations.
Typical work schedule: You will spend 3-4 days out in the field performing surveys/inspections and then work from home when not out in the field. The facilities are located throughout the entire state of Missouri, so you can anticipate travel with overnight stays of 2-3 nights per week on the inspection weeks. Hotels, meals, and travel expenses paid while out on inspection. You will attend an organized orientation and training program so that you will be comfortable in your new position. You will typically (although not always, depending on the inspection type) work as a team with one or two other surveyors. Your success is measured by both team and individual productivity, carried out with a committed work ethic while maintaining a high level of integrity.
