Description General Summary: Responsible for preparing shipments to customers/suppliers and receives and unloads incoming material to ensure that the parts flow meets or exceeds the customer requirements. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Able to communicate material in a clear and concise manner either through written or verbal instructions. Strong understanding and working knowledge of shipping and packaging procedures. Self-starter, independent and able to work with others in a team environment. Working knowledge and ability to operate powered motor equipment i.e. forklift, pallet jack, crane etc. Considerable knowledge of safety practices. Demonstrates a strong work ethic that shows a commitment to quality, continuous improvement, safety, productivity and safety. Able to adapt to changing work environments, deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Ability to follow instructions; responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Position Requirements Education & Experience Required: HS Diploma or GED Material handling experience including use of overhead hoists Fork truck operation background preferred.
