This is an excellent opportunity for a Donor Engagement and Events Manager (40 hrs. /wk., benefits eligible) at our Jackson Street Administration Office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Donor Engagement and Events Manager develops and implements the strategy, planning and execution of PPWI's virtual and in person donor engagement opportunities including annual events and a diverse array and size of other cultivation, fundraising and stewardship events. Engagement is focused on strengthening relationships and developing a meaningful experience with donors across all giving levels, community members and select stakeholder groups.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

* Experience anticipating problems and identifying solutions, prioritizing and managing multiple projects while meeting aggressive deadlines.
* Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment are essential.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
* Experience stewarding individual relationships, honoring confidentiality.
* Demonstrated experience working independently and as a team member, with experience working across multiple regions preferred.
* Experience with relational database software, preferably Raiser's Edge.
* Proven analytical skills in prospect research and associating relevant data to donor profiles.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and skilled in Excel list segmentation and data sorts.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree in related discipline required and three to five years of stakeholder engagement, cultivation and/or stewardship experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered
* Event planning and event management experience required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position is predominantly sedentary requiring the ability to sit, bend, stand and walk. May require occasional stooping, reaching, stair-climbing and repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard. Rarely requires kneeling, pushing/pulling and repetitive motions of the feet.
Physical demands of the position necessitate hearing, talking, handling and grasping regularly. May require lifting up to 30 pounds. Specific vision conditions include close vision reading. Requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, fax, copy machine and adding machine or calculator.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position is generally performed in an office environment and involves frequent interruptions. The noise level is generally low. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations, however, may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform said essential functions.
Occasional evening and/or weekend hours may be necessary.
This position requires travel statewide, therefore a valid driver's license and auto insurance in accordance with agency liability standards is required. Must have transportation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee agency-wide donor engagement opportunities, including events, virtual town halls and briefings, digital communications to ensure a consistent and positive donor experience.
DONOR ENGAGEMENT
  • Partner with Operations and Principal and Major Gifts leadership and the VP of Development in the creation and implementation of annual themes and branding work including newsletters, annual and year appeals, and other outward facing materials.
  • Oversee and drive the timeline and content development for the 3x a year donor newsletter, collaboration with the marketing and communications team and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the process and donor tracking in support of small donor gatherings and house parties as it relates to staffing, program and logistics, partnering with gift officer/host relationship manager to ensure a seamless and efficient experience.
  • Strategically schedule and develop 6-8 virtual donor town halls annually to inform and engage donors across all giving levels - timing, topic, speakers, invitations, RSVPs and follow-up messages.
  • Act as the point person from Development in gathering stakeholders and partners across the agency (Communication, Executive Office, Public Affairs) to ensure alignment on all cross departmental supporter communications and engagement.
  • Stay abreast of donor engagement trends and technologies related to events and other donor experiences.
EVENT MANAGEMENT
  • Develop and manage agency events strategy and determine fundraising and cultivation/stewardship goals for all events, working with Development team to ensure events align with, support and further develop department and portfolio strategies.
  • Act as main contact for all consultants, vendors and third parties in relation to events, managing contracts and consultants/vendors, and hire/recruit speakers and performers, serving as their point of contact.
  • Develop annual strategies, including events calendar, events budget, revenue goals and ROI.
  • Manage, plan and facilitate all event planning and logistic schedules.
  • Manage the production and overall timeline of all events, incorporating creative direction from Department Leadership and consultants as appropriate.
  • Venue/virtual platform selection, sponsorship strategies and recognition, in-kind donations, room layout, program development, licensing and permits, and security.
  • Create event ticket pricing structures, manage invitations, RSVPs, registration, name tags, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Develop and oversee procedures to ensure recordkeeping, acknowledgment and follow- up on all event giving, including appropriate documentation and coding in the donor database
  • Perform additional duties as requested.
