ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee training of Boys Volleyball athletes in all events in conjunction with other coaches.
- Develop training plans for Boys Volleyball athletes in conjunction with other coaches.
- Assist in overseeing home matches and tournaments as directed by the Athletic Director.
- Contribute to event line-up planning with other coaches.
- Attend and coach all practices.
- Attend and coach all matches.
- Assist other coaches in monitoring team members' practice attendance, school attendance, match attendance, and grades.
- Assist other coaches in enforcing team policies.
- Responsible for providing student-athletes feedback about their performance related to their disposition, behavior, and team skills.
- Manage program budget and organize fundraising efforts for the Boys Volleyball team.
- Coordinate competition and practice schedules with the Athletic Director.
- Coordinate Youth Boys Volleyball oppertunites with the Athletic Director.
- Attend Booster Club Meetings.
- Coordinate off-season training and conditioning programs for the Boys Volleyball Program.
- Successful completion of the required WIAA Rules Exam for Volleyball prior to the start of the season.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated knowledge of Volleyball skills, skill development, and strategies.
- If no teaching license, successful completion of an approved coach's education course (ASEP or NFHS) or the ability to complete the course prior to the second season of coaching.
- Current certification (or must obtain within one month of employment) and maintenance of CPR/AED and First Aid certification from a national certifying organization.
- Ability to initiate and maintain open communication with staff, student-athletes, parents.
- Competitive experience in Volleyball at the high school/collegiate level.
- Previous coaching experience in Volleyball at the high school/collegiate level.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other coaches in the program.
- Knowledge of WIAA eligibility standards and willingness to reinforce good sportsmanship and compliance with the athletic codes for members of the Beloit Memorial Boys Volleyball Program.
- Demonstrate ability to plan, organize, and supervise the team with respect to schedules, equipment, student eligibility, officials, and safety.
- Demonstrate ability to work positively with a diverse population of student-athletes.
- Ability to integrate the Boys Volleyball program into the total school experience of the student-athlete.

- PREFERRED SKILLS
- Valid teaching license.
- High School/College playing/coaching experience.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully implement Volleyball systems in a high school setting.
Working Conditions: Will be expected to work evenings and weekends. Will be also be expected to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
Physical Requirements: The job will require you to stand for extended periods of time, while coaching at practices and games.
