The Thomas Hill Power Plant is accepting applications for our General Utility 1st Period applicant pool. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the General Utility 1st Period performs general cleaning in the plant, coal yard, and on outside grounds. They also maintains plant grounds using tractors and equipment as needed in addition to hauling trash or other waste materials using trucks or other plant equipment. The General Utility 1st Period may be assigned to Plant Departments when required to perform general cleaning from these departments. This position is required to accomplish more skilled work as they progress through the periods and become a full General Utility. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of one year of mechanical or electrical background, possess a high school diploma or GED, and pass pre-employment testing.
