Description
Under the supervision of the Director of Ambulatory Services, you will serve as the Float Practice Manager providing oversight and support to various Ambulatory Sites. You will provide supervision to clinical FTE's within various Departments and Specialties. Oversee Projects as needed, provide bridge support during clinical re-designs, and provide Managerial support for newly established Ambulatory Sites. You will establish and maintain effective relationships and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, students, and the public in a variety of complex, sometimes sensitive issues. Supervise the medical front and back office staff and coordinate clinical services. Provide daily administrative and operational oversight and physical space management.
- Supervise the Front and back office staff by assigning work appropriately and ensuring all patient protocols, policies and procedures are being followed. Handle daily office Operations
- Assure adequate coverage during staff absences to guarantee minimal disruption of patient service activities.
- Encourage cooperation, teamwork and facilitate constructive conflict resolution.
- Motivate staff and establish departmental goals.Plan, prioritize and use effective time management.
- Recruit, train and maintain a qualified medical front and back office staff to meet the needs of the medical practice.
- With the Director represent the practice in any personnel matters that reach the grievance level.
- Serve as back-up in the absence of the Ambulatory MSO
- Assure adequate coverage during staff absences to guarantee minimal disruption of reception/patient services activities.
- Make recommendations to the Manager, Director Ambulatory Operations regarding staff merit increases and special awards, considering formal evaluation procedures and financial implications.
- Maintain compliance with Department and University policies and procedures for staff personnel concerns and regulatory compliance adherence. Perform daily rounding and maintain records.
- Supporting initiatives to increase the quality of care in the clinic as well as patient access to care.
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback to staff. Provide an extra layer of support for all team members
Salary range: 64,800-137,600 Annual
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent combination of experience/training
- 2+ years working within a hospital or clinical setting. Supervisory experience required.
- Ability to write analytical and
administrative reports and correspondence, which are clear, concise, logical and appropriate for a variety of audiences - Intermediate
skills with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). - Working
knowledge of research-oriented patient care systems - Working
knowledge of University policies and procedures to appropriately manage risk management and personnel - Strong attention
to detail and thoroughness in work product
o Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills o Ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities
- Work with Ambulatory Nursing,
Safety, Security, Skills Management Team, HR, and others on training all employees on necessary skills for role - Demonstrate the ability to be
flexible, adaptable, accessible, and team-oriented. - Systematic way to optimize
efficiency and minimize duplication effort - Writing skills to prepare
accurate and concise reports and memorandums that clearly convey information utilizing appropriate vocabulary and grammar
Preferred:
- Minimum 1 year experience within
a clinical supervisory role desired
