Key Details: Compensation : $16.00/hour, DOE Start Date: 03/01/2024 End Date : 8/31/2024 Location: Cheyenne, WY or Laramie, WY Job Summary: The successful candidate will be: Self-driven and motivated who can work well independently as well as in team environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors and have either obtained or is currently pursuing a graduate degree/career in wildlife, environmental, biological, statistics, or a related field. Essential Responsibilities: Enter biological data into MS SQL, MS Excel, QGIS, or others as needed. Various filing, scanning, archiving of datasheets. Work cooperatively with and under the direction of the tracking & data team personnel. Other duties as appropriate and assigned. As experience grows: Participate in more complex data entry, Learn data QAQC procedures. Job Requirements Requirements: The preferred candidate will be currently enrolled in college classes under an environmental or biological related science degree program. Have a strong interest in working with natural resource data and databases. Be capable of appearing for work on time as scheduled. Be able to understand and follow instructions yet have initiative and confidence to ask questions, accept guidance and constructive criticism. Understand how to use Microsoft Office Suite. Be able to interact effectively with coworkers, maintain a positive attitude. Have a highly developed ability to stay focused and pay attention to detail. Be able to work independently and in a team environment. Have an ability to think critically to solve problems. Physical Requirements: Sitting for long periods of time. After an offer of employment is made, thecandidatemust successfully pass a pre-employmentbackground check,drug screening,and a DMV records check that meets WEST's minimum criteria to operate a motor vehicle on behalf of the company. A valid driver's license will be required. Candidates must adhere to all health and safety requirements.
