Shipping Coordinator

Staffmark is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Plano, TX, supporting a company specializing in industrial automation.

Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday

Pay: $17/hr

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Process customer orders, ensuring accurate removal of parts/products from inventory in the ERP system.
• Generate packing lists and necessary shipping documents per customer order requirements.
• Verify product type and quantity, including technical product documentation when necessary.
• Properly pack parts/products using protective materials to ensure product integrity during transit.
• Apply shipping/freight documentation to packages/boxes and maintain shipping records.
• Coordinate daily shipment pick-ups with freight carriers and/or overnight carriers.
• Communicate material or inventory concerns directly with the Shipping Supervisor.
• Maintain material staging and loading areas for transportation carriers.
• Assist in inventory management, part picking, packing, and other material-related processes as needed.
• Adhere to internal policies, processes, and procedures for the Shipping department in alignment with the Company's quality management system.
• Ensure all safety requirements are followed and report any safety issues or injuries immediately to the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-4 years of previous shipping experience. Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.

Previous ERP system experience and basic computer skills required; knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) and email preferred. Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, and other shipping/freight vendors' systems. Effective communication, time management, and organization skills. Ability to stand, reach, and lift heavy items up to 50 lbs; operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material moving equipment.
