Please note that this is an UNPAID internship. BACKGROUND: International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. At work in more than 40 countries and over 20 U.S. cities, the IRC provides resettlement, education and empowerment support to refugees and displaced people. The Adult Education Department provides in-person and remote ESL classes to adults 18 and older, facilitates cultural orientation for resettlement clients, coordinates with other IRC departments to facilitate workforce development workshops, and refers clients internally and externally to additional services identified during case management. In addition, the Adult Education Department provides support to clients through special projects such as the Afghan Women's Group. SCOPE OF WORK: Administrative Intern will assist the Adult Education Supervisor and the Cultural Orientation and Intake Specialist in supporting administrative and organizational tasks for Adult ESOL classes. Intern will work closely with the Adult ESL Instructor to manage data entry and administrative reports.
