Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

Under close supervision, supports integrated marketing communications efforts through research, drafting communication materials, and tracking results to promote VHB services, support client and pursuit development, and employee engagement efforts.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

    Drafts content for internal and external communications materials (e.g., newsletters, articles, email campaigns, corporate website, social media). May collect and verify content or information to be included in communications.
  • Coordinates visual assets to support digital campaigns (e.g., video clips, graphics, photos).
  • Drafts, reviews, and edits materials to make certain that they are clear, thorough, on-brand, and seek to preserve VHB's image.
  • Develops content for social media platforms and coordinates distribution through brand and employee channels.
  • Regularly updates content on campaign platforms including SharePoint and VHB's website.
  • Plans, coordinates, and promotes internal events in support of Visibility Plans.
  • Researches, develops, and maintains media and distribution lists.
  • Assists in the placement of external communications. May research targeted audiences and suggest ways of tailoring messages and communication channels.
  • Assists in planning and implementing communication programs/promotional campaigns that drive brand awareness and increase visability. May collect data on the performance of specific communications or campaigns.
  • Participates in professional and personal development aligned with career goals.
  • Performs all job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and VHB policies and procedures.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write for various platforms (i.e., web, social media).
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into lay terms.
  • Familiar with and interested in digital marketing tools and analytics.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized and demonstrates commitment to quality.
  • Ability to identify and seek needed information/research skills.
  • Team oriented with ability to perform multiple tasks independently in a timely manner and collaborate effectively and positively with coworkers.
  • Demonstrated ability to move projects forward.
  • Skills and knowledge must be commensurate with required experience and job level.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of experience supporting marketing communications.
  • BA in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related discipline.
  • This position requires up to 25% travel to various offices in the New England area and to conferences as needed.
