Elevate your possibilities The Johns Hopkins Hospital - Department of Pediatrics Dedicated Preceptor Unit (DPPU) is a NEW 6-bed unit that will care for pediatric intermediate care patients. Each preceptor is paired to work with two orientees per shift using the Pediatric Tiered Skills Acquisition Model (Pediatric TSAM) to develop orientee competency. Every orientee is expected to graduate to their home unit after 10 weeks in the DPPU. All preceptors will work closely with the Director of Pediatric Nursing Programs and pediatric department educators to evaluate each orientee's progression and overall evaluation of the DPPU's onboarding plan. This position comes with a minimum of a 6-month commitment, after which the preceptor may transfer back to their home unit, another unit in the Children's Center, or plan to continue to stay in the DPPU. Shifts: 12 hour day/night rotating shifts; or straight Nights available. Weekend work required What Awaits You:
