Now offering a $2,500 Sign-On BONUS!!! The Johns Hopkins Hospital The Surgical Technologist help prepare the operating room by setting up sterile surgical instruments and supplies. During the surgical procedure the surgical tech is responsible for anticipating the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies, performing sponge/ sharps counts, providing solutions to the surgeons. The surg tech will ensure there are no breaks in sterile technique. Pediatric & Peds/ Adult Congenital Cardiac OR has 10 operating Rooms and 2 procedure rooms. Nurses scrub and circulate. The surgical subspecialties include: pediatric general surgery, cardiac, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, orthopedics, urology, plastic, burns, trauma, transplant, gastrointestinal, fetal surgery, and dental. Other procedures include: adult overflow cases, oncology- LP & chemo, and anesthesia assisted intubation. The Johns Hopkins Children Center is a Regional Pediatric Burn Center.
