  • Estimated annual base pay: $137,594(minimum) - $171,992(midpoint) - $206,390(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark?If you're a Labor Relations Director, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

At Woodward we believe that a critical component to success is fostering an environment of positive employee ("member") relations.The Labor Relations Director will be accountable for building and implementing a labor relations strategy that embodies this philosophy, while contributing to positive relationships between members, existing bargained units and the company. The role will require the individual to work closely with the broader HR organization, operations, legal, communications and other key stakeholders throughout Woodward to ensure the successful management of represented workforce and effective labor relations globally.

What You Will Be Doing

*Develop and implement a global labor relations strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business objectives, our people strategy, and member interests.

*Collaborate with HR business partners, communications, operations, legal and other key stakeholders to identify and mitigate labor relations risks and opportunities.

*Develop plans to ensure programs and policies are in the best interest of members and the company's objectives.

*Lead the negotiation preparation (and potentially the negotiation) of collective bargaining agreements in the U.S. with established unions, ensuring that all agreements are completed in a timely manner, in compliance with national and local labor laws and regulations, and secure harmony between the company and bargained units.

*Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including union officials and representatives, government officials, and other external partners (includes management of U.S. NLRB responses).

What We Are Looking For

*Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required

*At least 10 years of experience in labor relations, including negotiating collective bargaining agreements, preferably in a manufacturing or other industrial type environment required

*Experience developing and implementing labor relations strategies

*Strong knowledge of national and local labor laws and regulations

*Excellent communication and negotiation skills

*Able to influence the senior-most levels of the company through data-driven analysis and recommendations

*Ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including members, union officials, government officials, and other external partners
