About the Position:

Purpose: The purpose of the Quality Engineering Technician will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and precision of the machined products and the compliance of processes and systems. This position requires attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential in helping us deliver superior products to our customers. Other duties as assigned by management

Essential Duties and Requirements:

  • CMM Programming: Must have experience programming CMM's in a machine shop environment


  • Work closely with our production team to inspect, test, and document the quality of components, ensuring they meet the specified tolerances and customer requirements.
  • Quality Inspection: Perform thorough inspections of machined components using various measuring instruments and techniques, such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMMs
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet the specified tolerances, Industry and quality standards, and customer requirements. Conduct audits of the process and systems to ensure conformance to standards
  • Documentation: Accurately document inspection results, maintain detailed records, and prepare inspection reports for each component or batch. Complete first article inspections as required
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with the production team to identify and address quality issues, deviations, or discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Root Cause Analysis: Assist in root cause analysis for quality-related problems and recommend corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights and suggestions for enhancing manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
  • Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that measuring equipment and tools are properly calibrated and maintained to ensure accurate measurements
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality standards and inspection techniques
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Report any hazards or incidents promptly and participate in safety training programs.
  • Follow Guidelines/Systems
  • Adherence to all management systems.
  • Support for Continuous Improvement (CIP).
  • 6S:
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure "tour ready" status
  • Other duties as assigned by management
