Verify and post a variety of financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and Institute policy. Compile and analyze financial data, often complex in structure, and generate related schedules and reports. May provide guidance and work direction to other accounting personnel. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: co workers and other campus financial personnel. This position typically will advise and counsel: other accounting personnel. Job Duty 1 - Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements Preferred Qualifications
Collection experience in a university setting. Experience coordinating the collection of past-due account, review aging of all receivable types. Analysis and reconciliation of all accounts receivable and revenue accounts. This role requires a high level of customer service to staff, third-party sponsors, collection agencies, and legal entities. Experience preparing journal entries to reserve uncollectible accounts, referring past due balances to collection agency, and write-off uncollectible accounts. This position requires prompt notification to the Director of any unresolved discrepancies and/or potential liability to the university. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
