We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Intern in our Boston office for the summer of 2024. Our Intern will be responsible for handling a wide range of support-related tasks and projects. He or she will be a highly resourceful team player, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient. This job demands the highest level of confidentiality and diplomacy regarding all Cabot information.

Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:



  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to desktop configurations, applications and peripherals.
  • Help users through problem-solving process.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Ensure proper recording, documentation, escalation and/or resolution of all work.
  • Proactively coordinates asset life cycle maintenance by deploying, maintaining and retiring personal computer hardware, software and peripherals.
  • Ticketing triage - Acknowledging end-user tickets and properly routing tickets to the internal team members as per designated SOPs and SLAs
  • Level 1 desktop support handing internal hardware break-fix items such as laptops, desktops and printers.
  • Work closely with outsourced support team with following up user tickets and successfully closing them.



Qualifications and Experience:



  • Interested in developing a career in IT.
  • Strong listening skills with ability to work in a team-oriented/collaborative environment.
  • Excellent organizational, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive internal and external information.
  • Familiarity with networking switching and routing.
  • Some scripting experience - nice to have.
  • Must be a self-starter.

  • The job is conducted in an office work environment, sitting most of the time and using a computer approximately 90% for this position's duties
