What you'll do:



  • Assemble, maintain, and repair production and inventory equipment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, VEGA Germany, and other internal entities during the concept, design, and implementation phases of new product projects.
  • Act as a resource for the Design Team for welding, manufacturability and assembly practices. * Aids in the investigation of weld related product failures.
  • Perform visual weld inspections and dye penetrant test (Level II)
  • Facilitate weld qualifications (WPS, PQR, WPQ) and maintain records
  • Assist other members of the Manufacturing Engineering Services team with projects, process improvements, and equipment problems.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, component specifications, bills of materials, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Able to work effectively in fast-paced environment, with minimal direction, while balancing multiple tasks.
  • Capable of clear written and verbal communication.
  • Back up other team functions as necessary.
  • Answer technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members.


What you'll need:



  • Two year trade school (welding)
  • Two years' experience.
