The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $155,000 - $235,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. The Division of Allergy, Immunology & Rheumatology at UCSD and Rady Children's Hospital of San Diego (http://www.rchsd.org) Specialists of San Diego are seeking Clinical Allergists/Immunologists and Clinical or Translational Physician Researchers. The Pediatric Allergy/Immunology Section is a team of 7 faculty physicians, 2 affiliate physicians, 2 nurse practitioners, 5 clinical research coordinators, and several dedicated nurses and medical assistants. The team cares for a diverse range of patients with allergic and immunologic disorders from a large catchment area throughout Southern California, Western Arizona, Northern Mexico, and the outer Pacific Islands. We foster excellence in clinical care and translational innovations through intra-specialty clinics including food allergy, drug allergy, immunodeficiency, and recurrent fever disorders, and multidisciplinary clinics for severe asthma, eczema, and eosinophilic esophagitis. The Allergy/Immunology division in the Department of Pediatrics, its affiliates, and its adult counterpart in the Department of Medicine at UCSD have a strong track record of basic and translational research and provide a unique collaborative research environment, as well as participating in national and international multicenter clinical trials. We are seeking physicians to join our team to provide clinical care in general allergy and immunology in the outpatient setting and inpatient consultations. We are enthusiastic about mentoring allergists/immunologists at all stages of their careers. This position is an exciting opportunity to continue the tradition of strong clinical care and further develop clinical and translational research at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, California. The successful candidates will be expected to support the mission of delivering high-quality care across the spectrum of allergic and immunologic disease, teaching fellow and resident trainees, and scholarly activities while promoting an environment that supports diversity, equity, and inclusivity among faculty, students, and staff. The successful candidates may also lead or participate in research related to one or more of the division-related academic interests for the benefit of the children and their families that we care for. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Candidates must have an MD or equivalent or an MD/PhD in health-related fields. Candidates must be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
