Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Accounting Analyst in Salem, Virginia at our corporate headquarters. The Accounting Analyst is responsible for posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end closing of accounts and performing other general accounting duties related to a designated area, including general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Seeking candidates with experience handling cash transactions and reporting. Previous Accounting experience. Associates degree in Accounting, preferred. Requirements for the Accounting Analyst position include: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and competing demands. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
