Expected annual base salary range: $87,480 to $136,000

GPS level: M2

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Manager, CTMS Services provides strategic leadership and day to day management of the CTMS team. Working with leadership, this individual will help to ensure CTMS services are delivered on time, with quality, within established requirements while positively impacting the site client's study activation timelines. The Senior Manager will serve as a lead for targeted and high-priority clients, liaise with internal functional teams, lead site client onboarding discussions, and actively drive the department towards establishing new site clients, utilizing a broad range of CTMS platforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The accountabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

  • Monitor the execution of CTMS services to consistently meet quality standards and oversee service deliverables relative to client requirements, volume, costs, resources, quality and risks.
  • Establish and implement efficient workflows to meet deadlines and standardize procedures in order to maximize efficiency of the team.
  • Develop and align CTMS services objectives with company goals and ensure team is clear on objectives.
  • Serve as point of contact between CTMS services and Business Development to support expansion of existing relationships through new sales opportunities.
  • Identify and propose new CTMS operational processes and resolutions designed to meet current and emerging client needs and high client satisfaction.
  • Develop a deep knowledge of all site client requirements and expectations, define priorities and effectively manage deliverable planning, execution and problem resolution with mitigation recommendations.
  • Act as a second level resource for CTMS team which may include:
    • Reviewing work of CTMS team to ensure quality standards are met and provide feedback when necessary.
    • Overseeing and completing complex calendar builds and financial entries which include management of tasks for accurate and timely deliverables.
    • Track study activation timelines per site client to ensure expectations are met.
  • Act as an operational lead/subject matter expert for site clients.
  • Demonstrate leadership and collaborate with the Vice President, Site Solutions & Engagement for the training and development of CTMS services personnel.
  • Coach CTMS Services team on study start up principles needed for cross divisional deliverable coordination, ensuring consistent and disciplined execution.
  • Interact with Human Resources and upper management to evaluate and document personnel issues for team members.
  • Maintain processes to ensure complete and accurate documentation, reports and plans are relevant, accurate and complete.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. May represent the organization as a subject matter expert at webinars and industry conferences.
  • Be a collaborative team member, promoting a team-working environment to ensure the Company's strategic goals are met.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
  • Attendance, time management, and punctuality are essential functions of the position.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Equivalent combination of significant work experience in related field, education, and skills to perform the job may be considered in lieu of a relevant degree.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5+ years of demonstrated experience that provides the knowledge and skills to perform the job function with a proven record of accomplishment and successful delivery with customer impact.
  • Background in Coverage Analysis and study budget development preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading & managing teams, as well as coordinating & managing multiple clients & project efforts simultaneously.
  • Adept in developing plans, estimating effort, budgeting, tracking development projects, managing resources, planning capacity and reporting.
  • Experience in meeting with internal and external customers to gather, analyze and assess requirements and obtain feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influencing and negotiating.
  • Knowledge of CTMS platforms and management techniques.
  • Consistent demonstration of exceptional interpersonal & organizational skills and able to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and at all levels of the organization including clients, internal project teams and senior management; ability to adapt communication style to the targeted audience will be required.
  • Solid conflict resolution, problem solving, and decision-making skills required.
  • Must be able to organize diverse activities in a changing fast-paced environment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The position will require the individual to be responsible for the management, direction, coordination, performance, and evaluation of an assigned team and staff. Responsibilities may include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

There will be a need to attend to single or simultaneous tasks where accuracy of details is important. The need for detailed and precise work is high.
