Position Overview

The Electro Mechanical Technician will be responsible for maintaining all production equipment, which includes but is not limited to: electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, servo, and PC systems, as well as general building maintenance.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Performing preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshooting breakdowns and performing repairs
  • Equipment installation
  • Performing the installation of electrical equipment including cable trays, pulling cable and wires, running conduit, installing drives and motors.
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming
  • Replacement and installation of lighting fixtures and lamps as required.
  • General building maintenance
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Good troubleshooting ability, manual dexterity, and ability to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills
  • Must be familiar with all AC, DC, low voltage, and 480V, equipment as required
  • PLC knowledge - programming and troubleshooting
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work with aerial platforms
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to work 2nd Shift (2pm - 10pm Monday - Friday) or 3rd Shift (10pm - 6am Sunday - Thursday) with some overtime/weekend work
  • Associates degree in Electro/Mechanical Technology, or equivalent, preferred, but will consider experience in lieu of education


Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay ranges from $20.62-$24.00/hr, based on skills and experience can be negotiated. After probation, pay ranges from $25.80-$35.27/hr. Starting pay is based on skills and experience. In addition to a competitive wage, we offer a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, life, pension and 401(k).



Division Description

The Folding Carton Division is an industry leading manufacturer of folding cartons for food, beverage, tissue, hardware, confectionary, and many other industries. Employing around 300 people, this facility designs, prints, and manufactures folding cartons, trays, and counter displays for a broad range of products and customers.
