Elevate your career as a Medical Social Worker I (MSW) with Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center, where you'll spearhead the implementation of personalized care plans from admission to discharge, collaborating closely with patients, families, interdisciplinary care teams, and external healthcare providers. You'll serve as a crucial problem-solving resource, ensuring seamless care coordination while employing innovative strategies to enhance patient outcomes and cost-effectiveness. Your role will encompass advocating for patients and families, arranging specialized services, and acting as a liaison with external care providers to ensure timely, safe, and efficient care delivery.

Who should apply:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Graduate of an accredited college/university.

MSW required specific coursework related to social work.

Minimum of two (2) years experience.

LICENCES & CERTIFICATIONS:

Current Maryland License as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW).

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, and regulatory agencies.

Ability to effectively present information to patients, families, Hospital staff, community resources, insurance companies and community case managers.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
