Genetic Counselor Pediatric - Genetics Outpatient Part Time 77786BR Job Summary Under the supervision of the Medical Director and the Practice Manager, and guided by the policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Services and the Medical Center (see relevant AHP guidelines for Licensed Genetic Counselors), and in collaboration with the other care providers of the General Genetics Medicine Service (Physicians, Genetic Counselors, Nurses, Dieticians, Social Workers, Genetic Counselor Assistants, and Diet Technicians), the Genetic Counselor uses her/his skills to provide excellent clinical service and patient education to Genetic patients and their families. The Genetic Counselor will comply with the Medical Center house and Telephone Standards. The Genetic Counselor is an integral part of the General Genetics Medicine team and interfaces with the Metabolic, Prenatal, Cardiovascular, Craniofacial, and Cancer Risk groups at UCSF.
