You can explore the details of our benefits offering by visiting the following link: Position Summary: Patient Registrar is responsible for obtaining information from patients to ensure payment for all services. The Patient Registrar is responsible for providing pre-registration, registration, and discharge services for patients in a variety of departments, clinics, etc Overall functions include telephone utilization, insurance verification, chart preparation, and cash collection activities Enter data into EPIC. Scans insurance and photos documents into EPIC. Pre-registration, registration and discharges patients Schedules and pre-registers follow-up appointments Answers telephones, prepares chart paperwork Maintains a cooperative working relationship with patients, medical staff and general public Responsible for entering referrals and patient authorizations into patient accounts for billing Education/Experience: Work requires a high school level of educational development and 6 months of previous experience Shift: Full Time 40 Hours Per Week Day Shift Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employers.
