The Per Diem Echocardiographic Technician performs
echocardiographic procedures under minimal supervision and with guidance from
the medical director. They produce diagnostic images of the human anatomy using
various ultrasound scanning equipment, both portably and within the department.
Responsibilities include monitoring supply usage, maintaining records,
operating Hospital Information systems and assisting with patient medical
records.

This position supports cardiology services within our Santa
Monica and Westwood campus areas. Rotations within this region are sometimes
necessary and required to accommodate staffing needs.

May convert to career.

Salary Range: $69.74 Hourly

Qualifications

Please ensure your resume includes a list of all relevant
certifications and licenses.

  • Completion of Ultrasound Technology
    Program - required
  • At least 2 years of
    recent Acute Care experience - required
  • RCS or RDCS License
    - required
  • Current BLS from
    American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
  • Pediatric Echo experience - required
  • Congenital Heart
    Experience - preferred
  • Ability to depict
    lethal diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and
    communicate with the appropriate entities
  • Ability to move
    500lb+ ultrasound machine around the medical center
  • Able to take call
    and report to duty within 60 minutes of request
  • Knowledge of
    cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and pathology and ability to apply theory to
    practice in the clinical evaluation of target anatomy
