Position Description LISC Cleveland seeks an individual with passion to join our highly productive and capable team as a Program Officer of Housing. This person will provide staff leadership and oversight for the local office's affordable housing agenda in Cleveland, which is to create opportunities for homeownership as well as support homeowners to invest in their homes and communities by promoting revitalization, stabilizing aging housing stock, and increasing home values with a goal to build generational wealth for families. Primarily, the Program Officer of Housing is responsible for the day-to-day management of LISC Cleveland's new home repair loan program, focused on supporting eligible Cleveland homeowners on critical home repair needs. The Program Officer will work closely with the Executive Director and Senior Program Officer of Lending & Capital Management to implement this new initiative. In addition, the Program Officer of Housing will work closely with the Executive Director on all new housing initiatives as this body of work continues to scale, to include the exploration of a housing investment fund to support sustained investment in affordable housing and enable equitable development opportunities for mission focused developers in Cleveland. The Program Officer must have the capacity to simultaneously work on multiple tasks, be a problem solver, strong attention to detail, and timely follow-through. The position requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to provide quality customer service to homeowners, as well as high standards for accuracy and efficiency for partner organizations. A background in construction, affordable housing or community development preferred. To accommodate our stakeholders, periodic evening and weekend work may be required.
