Valid CNA license in the District of Columbia required

Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. As a not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley's campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence, a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.

The Clinical Technician (PCT) works as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with advanced training in specific clinical skills/competencies on the health care team.




  • Periodically checks patients, takes vital signs, and observes condition of the patient and patient care equipment or devices.
  • Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures
  • Performs bedside glucose monitoring, EKG tracing, and phlebotomy
  • Inserts IVs
  • Measures and records intake and output
  • Inserts and removes Foley catheters

Minimum Education and Experience:




  • High school graduate or GED
  • Current certification as CNA in the District of Columbia
  • American Heart Association BLS/CPR required
