Vice President, Finance - Implementation

Job Summary:

The VP, Finance - Implementation provides leadership, decision support, readiness review and financial strategy for new market implementations, collaborating with other departments in the organization to implement initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with leadership and internal Finance implementation team to ensure timely completion of all required activities per new market
  • Provide strategic leadership for new market implementations, including but not limited to setting up required reporting, monthly close processes, and VBR processes and tracking
  • Support tracking of administrative costs prior to go-live and partner with market leadership in strategic decision making around staffing and vendor costs
  • Assist with building out required processes and tracking for value added benefits
  • Lead finance activities for state required readiness reviews and interact with regulatory agencies as needed
  • Partner with the market CFOs to provide strategic insight to Market Finance and Actuary in developing budget/forecasts, ensuring reasonable assumptions
  • Coordinate with market/work stream leaders to implement QAI initiatives identified prior to go-live
  • Develop, implement, and modify processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Establish implementation strategy and goals to ensure smooth operational transition that will mitigate program risks
  • Perform any other job duties as requested

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in accounting/finance is required
  • Five (5) years of management experience is required
  • Managed care or healthcare experience is required
  • Previous experience implementing new lines of business

Licensure and Certification:

  • Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA or FSA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other equivalent certification is preferred

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • May be required to travel occasionally

Compensation Range:
$150,000 - $300,000. CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
