A South Bay health care startup is looking for an M&A Analyst to join their team due to company growth. The M&A Analyst will be responsible for sifting through thousands of lines of data in Excel and heavy valuation modeling. The M&A Analyst must be self-motivated and a self-starter in order to be successful in this role. Does this sound like you or someone you have worked with before? What do you need for this M&A Analyst role?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field
  • 3-5 years of finance experience in investment banking, valuations, consulting, corporate development, or aligned field
  • Very advanced Excel
  • Healthcare in a multi-location environment will bump your resume to the top
What will you do in this M&A Analyst role?
  • Create data request list and then does further deep dive on items discovered
  • Analyze data provided by targets
  • Financial modeling around initial valuation
  • Quality of earnings and waterfall analysis
  • Create pro formas and analyze cost structures around targets
  • Presents to investors, board members, and senior leaders
  • Develop and maintain projections
  • Long range-planning and build out 3 and 5-year financial models
  • Post acquisition benchmarking and analyze business performance and assumptions
  • Forecast funding through liquidity models to project M&A projects
  • ROI, NPV, and IRR analysis from historicals

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
