Position Summary:

The Transport Associate is responsible for the timely, courteous, and competent transportation of patients throughout the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Outpatient Center, primarily via wheelchair or stretcher. Receives assignments for specific trips and associated tasks from Supervisor and Customer Service Representatives. Delivers and retrieves transport equipment throughout the campus area, as directed. Participates in maintenance and minor repair work on wheelchairs and stretchers. Accepts additional assignments related to support functions to provide service excellence to internal and external customers.

Shift-Night Shift: 10:30 pm-7:00 am, 40 hours per week. Work and holidays are required every other weekend.

Requirements:




  • Graduation from an accredited high school or a G.E.D. Certificate
  • A minimum of one to three months experience in a healthcare setting
  • Current basic cardiac life support (C.P.R.) required
