Job Overview:

From March 2022 - March 2023, the International Rescue Committee launched and implemented a first-of-its-kind service model for the resettlement of 556 Afghan Humanitarian Parolees (AHPs) who arrived through Operation Allies Welcome. Via a comprehensive and personalized virtual case management model, the Virtual Afghan Placement and Assistance (VAPA) program provided per capita direct assistance, client-led case management, and resources and referrals for the successful resettlement of these new arrivals. Building off of this program, the IRC now implements the Virtual Reception & Placement (VR&P) program for Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders, the Virtual Resettlement Line for humanitarian parolees, and the Welcome Corps Support Line for private sponsor groups welcoming newcomers through the Welcome Corps.

Using the model developed during VAPA and further advanced for the current iteration of the VR&P program, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) aims to meet the ambitious goal of receiving and resettling up to 10,000 individuals in FY24 from the Western Hemisphere and Operation Enduring Welcome platforms. This project will include coordinating steps overseas, partnering with a variety of stakeholders across the United States, and effectively establishing relationships in a virtual setting.

The remote and pioneering nature of this project requires an incredibly detail-oriented and systems-focused Monitoring and Data Coordinator.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate efforts with the Monitoring Officer, Project Director and relevant VR&P team members and ZenDesk, IRIS+ETO team members to ensure sound data collection and information management systems are in place to support ongoing performance analysis and action;
  • Implement and follow internal data control processes, ensuring consistency with donor requirements;
  • Perform regular quality assurance checks to ensure program compliance
  • Recommend modifications to data collection and reporting processes for program quality and process improvement;
  • Utilize data and communicate data in interactions with internal staff, with the goal of improving program performance;
  • Working collaboratively with program managers, maintain and improve quality by completing internal compliance and data monitoring research;
  • Assist staff members in developing and/or implementing program evaluation tools, including those needed to track, collect, and analyze data to meet requirements for new programs and donors;
  • Provide training and technical assistance to staff on data collection systems and tools;
  • Fully engage as a member of the team, participating in program meetings and staff development activities;
  • Adhere to relevant IRC policies and procedures, state laws, and donor guidelines; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Education:Bachelor's degree preferred, but may be substituted with equivalent years of work experience

Work Experience:

  • Resettlement programming experience is preferred;
  • At least two years of relevant experience, including working data and database systems;

Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:

  • Advanced computing skills, with demonstrated proficiency in database systems, computer-based reporting, Microsoft Office applications, and data visualization techniques;
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or ETO strongly preferred;
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural non-profit and/or international setting with diverse client base;
  • Strong English language skills, including written and verbal communications;
  • Fluency in a client language (Spanish, Dari/Pashto) desirable;
  • Solid decision-making capabilities, sound judgement and ethics consistent with the IRC Way; and
  • Demonstrated commitment to IRC's mission and safeguarding principles to ensure client and staff wellbeing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Must be extremely flexible, capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities;
  • Superb organizational, planning, time and task management and logistical skills;
  • Outstanding attention to detail;

Working Environment:

  • Fully remote.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

US Benefits: The IRC offers a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits. All US employees are eligible for sick time, a 403b retirement savings plans: up to 4.5% immediately vested matching contribution, plus an 3-7% additional IRC contribution, and an Employee Assistance Program which is available to our staff and their families to support in times of crisis and mental health struggles.
