Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) - Richland Float Pool, FT

Essential Functions

• Assesses and documents staff performance.

• Implements and maintains standards/rules/procedures in compliance with regulatory/hospital.

• Participates with the development/implementation/evaluation of department goals.

• Assists with planning and managing the department budget and resources to meet financial target.

• Provides effective leadership by coordinating and integrating services within the department, with other departments and Prisma Health facilities.

• Assists in the management of human resources by determining qualifications, competence and performance expectations; implementing and monitoring staffing plans; coordinating orientation, in-service training and continuing education of all persons in the department.

• Provides effective leadership by coordinating and integrating services within the department, with other departments and Prisma Health facilities.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• This is a supervisor job which may have direct supervision of team members which may include hire/termination authority, disciplinary authority, and performance management responsibilities.May have budget input or responsibilities. Job is not considered a member of management staff.

Minimum Requirements

• Education - Bachelor's degree in Nursing

• Experience - Two (2) years of RN experience in appropriate area of nursing. Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.

In Lieu Of

• In lieu of the BSN requirement above, a nursing diploma or an Associate degree in Nursing may be considered if the applicant signs a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing to enroll in an accredited BSN or MSN program within one year and obtain a BSN or MSN degree within four (4) years.

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina

• Certified in nursing specialty preferred.
