Position title: Nephrology Salary range:
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay at appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $180,000 - $240,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. The Division of Nephrology-Hypertension is recruiting academic nephrologists for faculty positions. The Division continues to expand its clinical care for patients with end-stage kidney disease receiving different modes of dialysis and apheresis care. Responsibilities for this position include the full spectrum of in-patient and outpatient nephrology care, including continuous dialysis therapies in critically ill patients, apheresis care, plasmapheresis, cellular pheresis procedures, continuous renal replacement therapy modalities, invasive procedures, end-stage renal disease care, consultation, and the delivery of new models of healthcare in the nephrology space. The successful candidates will also be responsible for providing high-quality training, teaching, and/or research. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Candidate(s) must have an MD or equivalent, DO, or MD/PhD in health-related areas. Candidates must also be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Nephrology. Preferred qualifications
Candidates with research and/or clinical interest in hypertension are preferred. Candidates with at least one year of experience in designing and evaluating clinical trials and observational data to define the targets of blood pressure treatment in persons with kidney disease are preferred.
