Job Overview: The IRC Program Quality and Innovation unit seeks a Supporting Access to Financial Empowerment (SAFE) Financial Coach to support its Economic Empowerment programming specifically to enhance the financial inclusion of Spanish-speaking refugees, asylees and other immigrants. Financial counseling and coaching involve an ability to engage and motivate clients, a strong understanding of personal finances, and the ability to teach that knowledge to others. The Financial Coach is responsible for assisting clients in developing plans that help them reach their goals and achieve financial stability. The Financial Coach is expected to focus services in a one-on-one counseling format, while also conducting classes and workshops on topics such as budgeting, credit building, banking, and financial products. The Financial Coach will work with IRC staff nationally as well as other service providers to ensure that clients are receiving financial education and assistance across these service areas. Additionally, the Financial Coach will coordinate with external partners in offering financial capabilities services, including tax preparation services and will also assist clients in competing applications for targeted loan products including credit-building, education, immigration, and auto loans. The position may be set within any IRC office and will also provide remote services nationally to clients from Spanish-speaking communities. Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
